Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It can be difficult to understand what God is doing in our lives. Many of us struggle for answers to difficult questions: Why is God allowing this … to happen to me? (sickness, death of a loved one, financial hardship) How can I forgive that person that hurt me? How will I find the strength to get up tomorrow? Where is my life going? And, how does Jesus Christ fit into all of this?

If you find yourself in this battle, asking these or other questions, or if you are looking to deepen your faith, we have a unique opportunity in our parish.

COME AND LISTEN!
We are beginning a series of Catecheses (talks)
Mondays & Thursdays @ 8:00pm (starting Sept 16th )

St Joseph Cafeteria (E Fort Lee Rd entrance).
All are welcome. No sign-up. No cost. Free Babysitting.

A “catechesis” is not a class or a course. It is a proclamation of the Good News of Christ; God has not forgotten you. The challenges and sufferings of our lives require a deep and mature faith grounded in a personal experience of God. St. John Paul II said that this particular Catechesis series we will have in the parish can lead you towards that kind of faith by “touching the very roots of what it means to be Christian.”

This is an event for those who attend Mass regularly and for those who are far away from the church. We all need to listen to the announcement of the Kerygma (or “Good News”). This is an occasion for you to reach out to that person in your life who is suffering or has left the faith. Invite them!
