Our Parish is on a journey to know, love and serve Christ as a parish community.
Bishop Saporito spoke at our Parish Mission a few weeks ago and beautifully defined what it is to be a disciple.
He said that a disciple strives to:
- be a believer in Christ
- have a desire to grow in Faith
- gather as part of a community to worship
- love unconditionally
- lead others to encounter Christ
Together we need to embrace Christ’s vision for missionary discipleship so our parish can not only THRIVE but be a place for all to grow in their faith! The first step on this journey is to understand our strengths and greatest opportunities. We have been given a wonderful tool to do just this. St. Joseph’s church, together with all of the parishes within the Archdiocese of Newark, is participating in a parish wide survey. This web-based survey was developed by the Catholic Leadership Institute and has been used successfully throughout the country.
The survey:
- Invites parishioners to reflect on their journey of discipleship and identifies ways our parish can effectively supports that growth.
- Enables parishes to learn from the individual parishioner’s experience and perspective.
- Helps parishioners (US) to grow in our faith
The survey is COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL – no personal information is collected, just the survey questions. We will have QR codes and links available, and the survey can easily be done from your smart phones, iPads or computers. Paper surveys and assistance will also be available for anyone needing it and will take only 10-15 minutes.
The survey is available April 26th – May 25th.

Nuestra parroquia está participando en una jornada para conocer, amar y servir a Cristo en nuestra comunidad parroquial. Juntos debemos abrazar la visión de Cristo sobre el discipulado misionero para que nuestra parroquia pueda prosperar y ser un lugar para que otros crezcan juntos en la fe.

Se puede acceder a la encuesta de 10 a 15 minutos a través de un enlace en línea desde 26 de abril a 25 de mayo y le pedirá que reflexione sobre su propio crecimiento espiritual y le permitirá brindar su perspectiva sobre los esfuerzos de nuestra parroquia para ayudarlo a crecer en su relación con Cristo.
