About

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the website of St. Joseph Church. Here you can find information about the life and ministries of the parish. We invite you to look through the website to get a sense of the life of the parish and see how you will become involved in our parish family. It is only through your active participation that our parish can fulfill the plan and vision that God has for us.

If you are entirely new to the parish community the first thing that I would invite you to do is to take a careful look at the parish’s mission statement which appears in each Sunday’s bulletin. The mission statement contains a clear and succinct statement of what inspires all that do as well as what we hope to accomplish for God’s greater glory and honor and for the promotion of a solid and credible faith life among all the members of this parish community.

Our parish community has been a beacon of light and hope for all the peoples of Bogota and Teaneck and the surrounding areas since 1913. Through the ministry of all the Carmelites who founded and served the parish for 100 years before turning the parish over to the priests of the Archdiocese of Newark, through the ministry of all the sisters and dedicated lay teachers who have served in St. Joseph’s Academy, through the ministry of the many lay persons who have served on the parish staff, those who have served on pastoral and finance councils, and all of the literally countless numbers of parishioners who have contributed so generously of their time, treasure, and talent, our parish community has striven to be the “arms and hands” of Christ to any and all who have worshipped with us or who in any way have sought our assistance.

With your help, by your active and regular participation in Sunday Eucharist, and by your willingness to become involved in the day-to-day life of the parish, this parish community will continue to serve the needs of many more future generations Catholics in our community.
