3/21/2024 Update: Due to a lack of interest, the Parish Seder Meal is cancelled for this year.

You are invited to our parish Seder Meal.
The primary aim of the Seder is to transmit to future generations the story of the Exodus, a central event in Jewish history.
The Exodus story pertains to all, since it tells of the right of all persons to be free.
The Christian observance of this meal celebrates our tradition of Christ’s last supper and our own Jewish heritage which provides the context for Jesus’ institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper.
We will celebrate the Seder in two parts – first the Ritual at 3pm (with prayers and explanations) and then, following the 5pm Mass, a meal together.

3pm-4:15pm Ritual Cafeteria We are following an adapted version of the traditional Jewish Seder (Passover) ritual which makes connections to our Christian experience of faith and worship.
5pm-6pm Mass Church At the Last Supper, Jesus instituted the Eucharist in the context of the Passover. We celebrate Mass, seeing how elements we experienced in the Seder are reflected in the sacrifice of the Mass.
6:30pm-8:30pm Pot-Luck Dinner Cafeteria We gather as a community to share a meal together, to discuss what we have experienced in the celebration of the Seder, the Mass, and to deepen our bonds as a Eucharistic community.
