Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Dear Friends,
I write to you this day to remind you that this Friday, March 25, is the Solemnity of the Annunciation. It is also the day of which our Holy Father, Pope Francis invites all Catholics throughout the world to participate in the consecration of Russia, Ukraine to Immaculate Heart of Mary.
In writing to all the bishops of the world this morning Pope Francis says and I quote; “I ask you to join in this act by inviting the priests, religious and faithful to assemble in their churches and places of prayer on March 25, so that God’s Holy People may raise a heartfelt and choral plea to Mary our Mother.”
Mass will be celebrated at 8:00am on Friday, March 25th here at St. Joseph’s Church. At our liturgy we will echo our Holy Father’s prayer for the consecration of Russia and Ukraine. During the 8am Mass, we will pray the Act of Consecration. Therefore, I encourage all to take time away from the ordinary for this most extraordinary time of prayer for world peace.
Should you be unable to attend the Mass this day, you can watch our streamed Mass at 8am or you can watch Pope Francis praying the Consecration live from St. Peter’s in Rome starting at 12pm EST.
Please pray this together as a family & friends – sharing via email and social media.
May our prayer, joined to those throughout the world, bring an end to the war in the Ukraine and lasting peace in our world.
God Bless,
Fr. Scott
